About usThe Admissions Office is responsible for all admissions to UCL’s undergraduate and graduate degrees, affiliate and Teacher Training programmes. It handles approximately 160,000 applications per cycle and is responsible for admitting approximately 20,000 students in each academic year. The Admissions function is critical in ensuring that UCL secures the desired number of students to meet UCL’s aspirations in terms of securing and maintaining a well-qualified, balanced student body and associated tuition fee income, currently in excess of £300 million per annum.About the roleApplications are sought for this post of Senior Admissions Officer (Qualifications), which will be focused on providing data and qualifications advice for all methods of admission. The postholder will line manage a team of Admissions Officers that work across all the admissions teams.Duties will include: maintenance of qualification databases and relevant web pages, researching both UK and international qualifications, providing informed recommendations for changes to UCL entrance requirements, and analytics of application and qualification data. The nature of the work requires an individual with good interpersonal skills who is able to work successfully both in a team and independently.This internal secondment role is available to current UCL staff only and will be maternity cover until 26 January 2025 or the return of the substantive postholder, whichever is the earlier.If you have any queries about the role, please contact Supneet Bajwa at:About youThe successful applicant will have experience of admissions in a higher education setting, with experience of assessing qualifications. They will have excellent data analysis and research skills including the ability to work with, interpret and prepare numerical data to present to a range of stakeholders.
