REQ12532 Houseman (Open)SITION SUMMARY:The Houseman, is responsible for the cleaning of guest corridor, lift landing and the back of house area on the guest floor. Handling guest request, delivering VIP setup for the room attendant, cleaning of balconies and pantries/lift landings to the first line removing soiled linen, rubbish and replenishing clean linen for the room attendant in accordance to the company’s standards.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains the cleanliness of the guest corridor, lifts landing and the back of house areas ensuring they are clean and free of risks including using appropriate cautionary signage to alert guests and fellow staff of potential risks as required
Removes soiled linen from room attendant cart and puts it into the linen chute at the floor pantries in accordance to the company’s standards
Removes rubbish from room attendant trolley and puts it into the rubbish bin at the floor pantries in accordance to the company’s standards
Replenishes clean linen for the room attendant trolley in accordance to the company’s standards
Delivers guest request items in accordance to the company’s standards
Delivers special amenities and set up for guest rooms, as may be required
Maintains knowledge of the Hotel and guest rooms including facilities, restocking requirements and operations to ensure that guest queries can be answered or referred promptly. Communicating with fellow team members and departments to proactively service guests and ensure the standards are maintained and guest requirements are satisfied
Adheres to all Company policies and procedure; security and maintenance procedures and practices including reporting any unusual or suspicious incidents, hazards or people, complaints and missing or damaged items in a timely and accurate manner
Reports accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and/or security issues to supervisors
Performs other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS:Experience
Although not necessary, previous relevant experience is an advantage, preferably with 5 star hotel
Education
High School diploma
Skills / Competencies
Has flexibility in approach to work and be able to step in if and when required to assist with room cleaning and other tasks as may be directed by the line manager
Has strong sense of teamwork and is committed to the team

Physically fit in order to lift 23 kgs or 50 lbs
