- Assesses and manages trading risks, including market, credit, and liquidity risks. Implements risk management strategies and adheres to risk limits set by the company.
- Conducts in-depth analysis of Forex markets, including technical and fundamental analysis, to identify trading opportunities and make informed trading decisions.
- Monitors and analyses market prices, spreads, and liquidity providers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
- Prepares and analyses daily, weekly, and monthly trading reports, including trade volumes, profitability, and market trends.
- Provides reports to management and relevant stakeholders as required.
- Collaborates with other team members, including traders, analysts, and risk managers, to share insights, exchange information, and contribute to overall trading strategies and goals.
- Monitor the market at all times and be informed on all economic events, market holidays and arrange for any adjustments to be made to specific markets or financial instruments.
- Ensure that the company’s Trading Platform/s are operational and provide up to date information throughout on prices and news.
- Responsible for monitoring requotes and slippage given during the news, during opening on Sunday, as well as spreads throughout the day (especially during Rollover time).
- Responsible to change the settings on Dealing Third-party Software etc. on the different shifts; major/medium/minor significance news, market openings etc.
- Ensure that the company’s Risk Management Committee and Risk Manager can have reliable and up to date information on open positions and exposures, in order to hedge the risks arising from the above at all times.
- Monitor the Capital Adequacy of the company and inform the relevant persons in case it drops below threshold.
- Responsible for ensuring the Company’s hedged exposure is correct and accurate.
- Answer calls and emails from clients and deal with their requests or complaints.
- Use all reporting tools at your disposal to take actions or make suggestions for improvements where possible.
- Perform any other activity assigned to you by the Company’s Management, Manager of Department or Supervisor of the shift from time to time
- Monitoring the feed to ensure smooth pricing on all trading platforms;
- Monitoring reception and transmission of orders to ensure proper execution for both, clients with the company and company with liquidity providers;
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or any other related field.
- CySec Certificate Basic or Advanced will be considered an advantage.
- At least (3) years of experience as a Dealer within a forex brokerage or financial institution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of trading strategies and risk management techniques.
- Proficient in using trading platforms (MT5 Administrator & Manager), order management systems, analytical tools and Bridge technologies.
- Ability to work in shifts on a weekly basis,
- Understanding of hedging mechanics.
- Sound understanding of relevant regulations, including AML and KYC procedures.
- Strong decision-making abilities and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using Excel, VBA.
