An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Analytical Chemist for a global polymer manufacturer based at their site in Northamptonshire. As an Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for evaluating and testing using various methods to evaluate polymers from new product development, working closely with the technical services to provide analytical support to customers and work with production to solve technical production issues. You will also work closely with the Senior Analytical Chemist in maintaining an operating the analytical equipment, including performing analysis via GC-MS, LC-MS, GCP, ICP, NMR, HPLC, DSC, TGA, DSC.To be considered for this Analytical Chemist position, you will be degree educated in Chemistry, Polymer Science or closely related subject. You will also have previous experience within a quality/analytical role, ideally from the polymers industry however we can consider those from the Chemicals and wider Chemistry sector if someone has experience in using GC-MS, LC-MS, GCP, ICP, NMR, HPLC, DSC, TGA or DSC.This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing team, offering excellent career prospects, salary and company benefits.Key Responsibilities· Manage and execute analytical projects for various internal teams.· Evaluate polymer materials for new product development.· Work with technical services to support customers enquiries.· Solve quality related production issues using various testing techniques.· Perform analytical tests via a range of techniques including GC-MS, LC-MS, GCP, ICP, NMR, HPLC, DSC, TGA or DSC.· Calibrate, maintain and service all equipment.Knowledge and Experience· Degree qualified in Chemistry, Polymer Science or closely related subject.· Previous industrial experience within a quality or analytical role.· Experienced in using a range of analytical techniques, including LC-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS, GCP, ICP, NMR, HPLC, DSC, TGA or DSC· Previous industrial experience in a similar role within the materials, composites or polymer manufacturing sector would be highly desirable.
