Our client is a global freight forwarding company with a newly established branch in Thailand.Job Description
Oversee the daily operations of the branch office, monitoring performance metrics such as productivity, service quality, data management, subcontractor performance, and incident management, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure the branch office is properly organized and staffed with individuals possessing the necessary capabilities and competencies.
Collaborate with the VP of SEA Freight Forwarding Operations to develop and implement the branch's business strategy.
Work with peers and departments to share best practices, business strategies, and insights.
Coordinate with agents, carriers, vendors, overseas offices, and customers to ensure smooth transactions.
Align the branch's capacity and procurement strategy with the overall Group strategy and ensure its effective execution.
Establish capacity planning based on the carrier strategy, trade lane plans, and established guidelines.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
At least 10 years of Operations experience in the Logistics and Freight Forwarding industry
Extensive knowledge of the Freight Forwarding sector
Background in Ocean, Air, and Land required.
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities
Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
Strong commercial acumen
