- Being customer-facing with commercial clients and owners of multi-dweller block of apartments and develop product strategy and roadmaps based on identified opportunities for solar energy solutions.
- Understand the unique requirements and constraints of our clients, and tailor solar energy process that meet the need.
- Present and explain the benefits and advantages of solar energy solutions to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting cost savings, environmental impact, and long-term value.
- Collaborate with the marketing and revenue function to develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives targeting commercial clients and multi-dweller block of apartments.
- Actively prospect and generate leads through various channels, including networking events, referrals, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the commercial sector, including property managers, building owners, facility managers, and developers.
- Prepare effective proposals and quotes for non-standard and complex solar energy systems, incorporating equipment specifications, installation timelines, financing options, and return on investment calculations.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and other commercial aspects to successfully close deals and secure contracts with clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure the smooth transition from sales to project implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and government incentives related to solar energy in the commercial sector and leverage this knowledge to create compelling sales pitches and value propositions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management in the company's CRM system.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service in all interactions with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, A background in energy or sustainability is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of success in B2B sales or business development, preferably in the solar energy or renewable industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, battery storage, and associated equipment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, propose tailored solutions, and close deals within a competitive market.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and target-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Familiarity with commercial contracting and financing options for solar energy projects is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems, sales tracking tools, and productivity software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse energy consumption data and calculate financial returns on investment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
