Our client is seeking a talented Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join their dynamic team and help drive their financial reporting processes to new heights!Known for being a leading investment management firm, our client is dedicated to delivering exceptional results for their clients. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting processes across the organisation.

- Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights on business performance and trends. Prepare management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts for the group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions during consolidation.
- Collaborate with the tax department to ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax planning and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial reporting and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on financial matters.
- Utilise financial software and tools to manage and report on financial data. Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of financial systems.
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting / Finance
- BCom Honours
- CA(SA)
- Completed SAICA Articles
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably within a group or corporate environment.
- Experience in a multinational organisation is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP.
- Proficiency in financial software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial data.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical behaviour and integrity in financial reporting.
