Explore to learn more about us.About the role - We are seeking a Workplace Health and Safety (WHSO) School Officer to work closely with the principal and school community to undertake a range of WHS related tasks and duties.Key aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

The effective management of safety processes and efficient record keeping
Undertake WHS projects as directed by the leadership team
Follow compliance requirements generated through WHS reports
Undertake WHS review processes and recommend areas for improvement
Undertake classroom safety audits, compliance inspections and provide recommendations
Assist and guide staff on the completion of risk assessments
Organise WHS induction processes
Maintain student health plans
Provide and support site specific health and safety training, including health and safety inductions, that meets BCE health and safety requirements
Coordinate the WHS committee on behalf of the principal
Working closely with BCE WHS staff members

About you - The successful applicant will hold/have/or be prepared to obtain:

Senior First Aid Certificate.
Strong IT skills and experience.
Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety Certificate.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

Proven communication and interpersonal skills.
Safe work practices.
BCE systems such as guardian and compliance data base.
Effective management of safety processes and efficient record keeping.
