Senior Configuration Management AnalystThe roleAs part of our Naval Combat Systems (NCS) group, the Senior Configuration Analyst will report to the CM Team Lead and be responsible for:Supporting the CM Team Lead in developing and implementing the CM framework across the NCS business, including acting as the CM Lead’s delegate as requiredChampioning the CM practices and processes across the NCS business; in particular CM planning, Baseline Definition, Baseline Establishment, Deviations and Change Management in support of the AusCMS Product development,Supporting adoption of CM practices; in particular supporting Project Managers (PMs) and Engineering Managers in the definition, establishment and maintenance of their Task/Project baselines.Supporting PMs with the establishment of their Task/Project Information set-up in IFS Applications.Providing a CM audit service to the NCS business.Supporting the implementation and adoption of IFS Applications within NCS and ultimately provide a “Help Desk” Service for the utilisation of IFS as our CM and Program Information Management environment.Further, the successful candidate will:
  • Act as the CM Team Lead’s delegate (standing appoint) when they are not available.
  • Liaise, educate and champion CM practices and processes.
  • Author and maintain CM plans, processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate engineering data, documentation and technical media.
  • Facilitate the conduct of Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and manage the outcomes.
  • Facilitate the conduct of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and manage the outcomes.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.About youYour skills and experience will include:
  • Defence industry experience in project based team or product engineering management environment
  • Ability to self-manage CM workload and priorities with minimal support, specifically in the development of new and existing CM processes, workflows and governance.
  • Proven ability in effective internal customer liaison
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Experience of specialist configuration management tools and/or engineering data management systems
