We are looking for a technician at the beginner to intermediate level to join our team in Onehunga. This full-time permanent role is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop or kick-start their career, as on-the-job training is provided.Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Liaising with clients, acting as their eyes and ears on site.
  • Performing gas and water sampling and testing to a high level of accuracy.
  • Completing site inspections and writing reports to a high standard.
The work will be hands-on and physical, and therefore requires a reasonable degree of physical capability and, at times, may involve working in adverse environmental conditions. The nature of the work may require early starts, late finishes and occasional overtime.You will have:
  • NCEA Level 2+ (or equivalent) education
  • A degree or diploma in Geography, Geology, Earth Sciences, Technology, or Environmental Science would be ideal, but is not essential.
  • An appreciation for working outdoors.
  • Ability to lift items weighting 25kg+ on a regular basis
  • A clean, full/ restricted New Zealand drivers license
  • Excellent communication skills, as you will be working with clients and other team members. Strong written and verbal communication required.
  • Confident working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and safety conscious.
  • Ability to focus on strategic priorities of the business while delivering business-as-usual work.
  • A solutions-based mindset
  • Ability to prioritize workload and convey to others when there
