If you enjoy working in a creative, fast-paced environment, then #korscareers would love to hear from you!We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Planning Analyst in our Manno office.Department Overview:Working as part of Financial Planning & Analysis EMEA team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial planning and analysis supporting the business of Michael Kors Europe and will work closely with the different business partners to strengthen and improve the financial controlling activities.What You’ll Do:
  • Preparation of budgets and reforecasts in conjunction with main business partners for Corporate Overheads, Personnel Costs and main Business Channel Direct Costs
  • Consolidation within deadlines of full European P&L reforecast and budgets combining Retail, Wholesale, Concessions and Ecommerce from other members of the finance team
  • Costs monitoring against budgets and reforecasts highlighting areas of overspend and assisting the business partners in the costs tracking and variance explanations
  • Preparing management reports and KPIs, providing analysis of the key areas highlighting risks and opportunities, and assisting management in developing action plans and recommendations for improvements
  • Assisting in monthly and quarterly closings and provide comments and variance analysis vs budgets and reforecasts
  • Coordinate with the accounting team in order to improve accuracy of the reporting, providing more accurate and meaningful management information
  • Build robust capital expenditure requests and business cases for all corporate capital projects
  • Contributing to the implementation of business and system projects as identified by the management to improve financial control, as well as ad-hoc projects defined by the management
  • Manage Hyperion Planning and Reporting tool ensuring integrity and reliability of the data, acting as main point of contact for different counterparts involved
  • Support and provide SOX analysis
You’ll Need to Have:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial controlling position, preferably in the industry
  • Degree in Economics or Business Administration
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, other languages knowledge will be a plus
  • Strong proficiency in MS office particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to details & analytical ability
  • Experience/ familiarity with the main systems (SAP, Workday, Hyperion)
  • Ability to communicate with finance and non finance business partners
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
