  • Delivering a customer- and service-oriented refinement where the outside-in approach is starting point for all processes.
  • Constantly strive to optimize processes and work procedures using the LEGO Continuous improvement approach across functional areas.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external accounting policies and guidelines – basic knowledge of IFRS is preferred!
  • Using Activity Based Working, actively taking part in creating a culture that inspires to collaboration, encourage knowledge sharing and incorporates stimulating “New Ways of Working” in every day.
  • Building and strengthening basic partner relations across areas and geographies including collaboration and culture (incl. Business Controllers, Treasury, CRBC, Tax, Group Reporting and our auditors)
  • Managing general ledger processes in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner, including
  • Monthly and Yearly closing activities
  • Performance of the key controls
  • Booking economic transactions and operations
  • Perform reconciliations (e.g., intercompany, banks, fixed assets) for specified accounts to ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Provide information to external auditors and tax team
This is a fixed-term opportunity till the end of 2025 with high chance of prolonging the contract afterwards.Play your part in our team succeedingThe LEGO® Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service center that delivers HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from 3 locations; Monterrey, Prague and Singapore. The purpose of the BSO is to create an effective and efficient platform for growth to support our strategy and reach twice as many kids over the next 5-7 years.The General Ledger (GL) department interacts with great parts of the LEGO organisation and therefore holds a crucial role within the (BSO) supporting the EMEA region. The team manages compliant handling of the general ledger and all engagements related hereto, which involves natural interaction with a broad range of both partners.The accountant plays an important role in developing the best in class GL department within the BSO. We need development-oriented individuals, eager to engage actively in shaping and strengthening a strong department, valuing collaboration, process excellence, quality and fun in the everyday life.Do you have what it takes?
  • Proven professional working experience in a related financial role or a position where capabilities are transferable
  • Analytical, detail - and high-quality oriented
  • Be robust, resilient and able to embrace changes, as well as having a proactive mind with a can-do attitude.
  • Personal drive and initiative, excellent collaboration skills and proven ability to build trust and credibility with assigned business areas or other key partners.
  • Estimated travel activity – up to 5 days per year
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Preferably proven working experience in international accounting environment
  • Microsoft Office at experienced level
  • Advanced English
