- Strategic planning and execution of logistics, supply chain, transportation, and distribution management
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Liaison with various Authorities to ensure smooth functioning of DC
- Responsible for Key Account Management and Customer Engagement
- Defining and implementation of SOPs and SLAs for vendors and contractor
- Contract and Project Management for new and existing DCs/Warehouses and responsible for System implementation
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Monitor and manage all revenues and expenses that impact P&L performance.
- Ensure that customer's service expectations are met, including achieving all service levels metrics and quality performance goals
- Ensure compliance with specified contract metrics, oversee operational and personnel activities in the facility, and maintain high standards of operational proficiency
- Responsible for facility and assets management, service and maintenance, insurance, and claims.
- Ensure Forecasting, planning, procurement and inventory control of all the warehouse.
- Ensure quality management system & HSE standards and procedures are implemented throughout functional groups.
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Hire, train, develop, and evaluate staff effectively, consulting with human resources as appropriate.
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
- Focus on productivity, quality, and safety requirements in accordance with company needs and customer requirements.
- Communicate and interact with customers and various internal functional departments (i.e. IT, HR, Accounting, etc.) in order to resolve issues, capitalize on opportunities and improve business and service performance.
- Generate, cultivate and communicate ideas for continual improvement of processes and activities across all areas of the operation.
- Prepare various reports and analyses as required by the customer
