- Implement and maintain IT infrastructure within manufacturing processes
- Installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows operative systems
- Basic hardware setup and maintenance
- Troubleshoot system and network problems
- Development and implementation of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) in collaboration with the functional departments
- Link between IT and production in the field of factory automation and control systems
- The job involves heterogeneous requirements concerning standard user support and network management, along with management of databases and Microsoft-based programs linked to the production processes;
- Daily end-user support: receive user requests, initiate and document incident management, support users in problem solving (hardware or software faults)
- Providing support for Windows, Linux and Microsoft-based programs
- Providing the required level of security and compliance for servers and workstations; Cybersecurity awareness
- Developing internal tools and scripts
- Identify opportunities to optimize current business processes, recommend possible solutions and undertake improvement projects;
- Identifying and evaluating automation opportunities in the current manufacturing setup
- Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and system integrators for automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
- University degree with a focus on IT, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of IT professional experience in the field of production, supply chain or ERP desirable
- Good knowledge of databases / SQL
- Experience with database software using Docker Containers
- Knowledge of system-related programming languages (C/C++, PLM, PLC programming) is an advantage
- Experience with integrated Trumpf products (intelligent networked factory)
- Experience with virtualization clients
- Experience with or curiosity about production processes and automation technologies
- Analytical thinking and enjoyment of communication with the specialist departments
- Understanding of control systems integration and experience with Siemens S7 PLCs, WinCC SCADA, HMIs, MES, IIOT, and key Industry 4.0 objectives.
- Good spoken and written command of English. German is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving orientation and ability to manage priorities;
