Join us.Description· Implements and improves testing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality.· Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.· Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.· Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.· Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.· Keep up-to-date on new technologies and drive continuous improvement to established techniques.· Undertake physical machine test to verify design works as intended· Provide input to DFMEA (Design Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) activity with the wider design team.· Take part in design reviews with the wider design team.· Take part in the closure of reliability issues found during NPI test and validation.· Take part in Current Product Improvement (CPI) projects and drive to resolution.· Function in a shop and assembly environment for testing and troubleshooting on machines.Basic Qualifications· Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum.· 8~10 years of relevant industry experience (Construction Equipment, Mining Equipment, Automotive)· Experience in multiple New Product Introduction Projects.· Experience in prototype machine build and capturing the issues / learnings· Experience in conducting the tests as per validation plan, data collection and analysis.· Experience in machine troubleshooting while testing.· Experience in usage of problem-solving techniques.· Expertise in test data documentation and presentation of test reportsTop Candidates will also have· Ability to work flexibly across time zones with cross functional, multi-cultural teams· Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks· Experience with Project Management for testing.· Experience with machine operation and functions.Additional InformationLocation - Thiruvallur - Tamil Nadu - India% of Travel: 20%At Caterpillar, we believe each person is unique and valued, and are committed to ensuring that our workplace is diverse and representative of the many customers we serve around the globe.
