- Provide leadership, vision and strategy for local HR team in GM Philippines
- Partner with leadership in the development plans of employees, leaders and teams across Manila site
- Build human resources planning models to identify competency, knowledge and talent gaps and develop specific programs to fill the identified gaps within respective business functions
- Partner with business on headcount and budget planning and maintenance- Provides strategy and insight to Business Leader on organization restructures, workforce planning and succession planning and management.
- Lead company-wide talent initiatives for the local team, driving by COE partners in Talent Development, Performance Management, Talent Acquisition, Global Policy, Employee/Labor Relations, and Employee Engagement
- Partner with leadership to develop staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify internal and external talent
- Identify appropriate and effective external sources for candidates for all levels within the organization
- Deliver progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to GM Philippines employees in partnership with GM's Global COE team
- Serve as a subject matter expert for local and company HR policies, programs, local labor laws and issues- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the HR Policy consultant and legal department on employee relations issues and investigations
- Indirectly lead Talent Acquisition and Payroll Specialist in providing services to all employees- Lead consistent delivery of corporate culture and diversity programs (i.e., We are GM, ERGs) across function, in addition to employee engagement activities (i.e., Workplace of Choice)Additional Job Description
- Solid experience managing HR processes including succession planning, organizational design, and HR processes cycle such as compensation, benefits, hiring, retention, training, workforce planning, employee relations, restructuring, and system implementation.
- Experience with local PH labour laws and policies
- Experience leading teams
- Workday experience (HR Information Systems required)
- Experience with leader development, succession and progression, coaching and mentoring
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate solid problem solving, market knowledge, customer focus, analytical thinking, strategic orientation, organizational savvy, people development, and outstanding collaboration and influencing skills.
- University Graduate; bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in HR Management or related field
- With at least 10 years of HR experience working in multinational or global companies.
